Is your InDesign updated to 7.5.3? What is your OS?
Do you use a font manager? If yes. Which one and version?
I'm on 7.5.3 on Windows7 and we don't use font manager
I use the same version OS with 7.5.3 without a problem.
Does it work if you create a new User account and log in with that? How about if you start the PC in Safe Mode?
