PNG's are badly designed and often suffer from color problems. You may need
to use a different color space in photoshop that is compatible with Flash.
It's not a Flash problem .. and not really even a Photoshop problem. . its a
problem in PNG's themselves.

yes - exactly the same problem... color shifting in my JPG's, PNG's ..any graphics from photoshop CS to flash (mx2004) on OSX.
I've seen a lot of posts about this but none have any answers... just repeating repeating that flash doesn't color manage...
so who has a work around or way to fix it?
okay... I've solved my problem.. maybe this will help others...
Photoshop>Color Settings>WorkingSettings> sRGB IEC61966-2.1
and in "color management policies" set RGB to "convert to working RGB".
