I have Premiere Elements 10 installed on a Windows 7 PC. I have bought a new MAC. I have the PE10 install CDs so I believe that I can install PE10 on my MAC.
How do I then get my existing project files to the MAC so I can continue working there.
My project files are held on the Windows PC in D\Adobe\PremiereElements\9.0 (originally I had PE9 installed and upgraded to PE10 and kept using the same project fil folder). Do I just copy the contents of this folder to the MAC or is there something more complicated required ?
In PE10 presumably there is a setting to point to the projects folder.
Copy both the project files and the media files to the Mac. When you open a project file, it should ask you where the media files are located. You can then navigate to that folder.
Although note that project files for older versions of the program were not cross-platform -- so you may not be able to open a .prel file created on a PC on a Mac.
So make sure you make copies of any project files you plan to open on your Mac. Trying to do so might just corrupt them and make them useless.
