I am having a not so straightforward problem, but I'll try to explain it in steps.
1. I export a set of images as a new catalogue to bring with me from my workstation to edit on my laptop.
2. After selecting I create new tiff files after editing the images in photoshop and they are grouped with the original raw files.
3. While reintegrating the laptop catalogue into the main catalogue the metadata updates on my RAW files but my TIFF files are unable to be reintegrated as grouped files and are lumped together in an import folder.
Does anyone know if this is an issue that is fixable?
the folder structure is the same in both catalogues since the second is a straight copy of the first one.
How are you integrating as you put it?
The correct way to do it is to export the Catalog from the laptop including negative files and reimport those to your main catalog using the Import from Catalog option.
Thanks for your reply, what you described is how I have been doing it, but unfortunately any new files. (this includes new files inside the same old folder structure is treated as new files and the grouping it previously had, (TIFF files grouped with the origianal RAW files) is broken. hope that clarifies my issue.
