Data merge multiple labels per page

    LisaCuffe_BandoUSA

I have an XLS file with 50 different part numbers in 1 column, and each different part number needs to go onto a label. The first cell is 'Part #' and then the following rows each have a variation.

The label stock is set up with 30 labels - 3 columns, 10 rows - per page.

No matter what I do, I can't get all different part numbers to show up on the same page. I'll get 1 part number and the rest of the text fields are blank.

Have you read the help file on Data Merge?

Multiple record per page merges us exactly one set of placeholders, in the upper left position (and I find it helpful to add an empty frame around them exactly the size of the label to make setting up the spacing easy). You set the spacing in the dialog, and ID will duplicate as many times as fit on the page using your margin and spacing settings. DO NOT USE THE PREVIEW (or immediately undo before merging). Preview has been buggy for several versions now and using it will render the template useless.
