This is the first time I'm using After Effects, I'm using it to put a sound spectrum over a still image of a 4 minute song I made. the resoloution is 1920x1080 and the frame rate is 30. the video is taking up 38 gigabytes when saved as an avi file. I'm never gonna be able to upload something that big to youtube with my crappy internet. is 38 gigabytes normal for videos such as this?
I'll bet you rendered without reading up on compression and you just used the default LOSSLESS preset. Lossless will give you a nearly uncompressed movie file that probably will not playback in real time. You can use that to render a deliverable using the Adobe Media encoder, but I would suggest that you start here and read the section on rendering: Basic AE
Thank you so much it was reduced to 250mb and I even got 60fps on it as well
