What is your exact version of InDesign?
What is your version of Excel?
On what OS?
With my old InDesign CS6 and Excel 2004 on Mac OSX 10.6.8 this can be done simply by two copy/paste sequences:
1. InDesign CS6 document: Copy selected text.
2. MS Word 2004 document: Paste. Unselect (maybe optional).
3. MS Word 2004 document: Select and copy.
4. MS Excel 2004 paste.
It will take a while to paste into a Word or Excel document.
And be aware, that the required fonts should be available in all three apps.
Forgot one question:
Is your listing an InDesign table or is it simple formatted text?
In case of simple formatted text, make sure that the three units (columns later in Excel) are separated by one tabulator character.
Thanks for your answers.
