    GPU acceleration still not working?


      Hi all,


      I love using GPU acceleration within Lightroom, it makes developing images so much snappier and speeds up my workflow considerably. However, it's now well over a year since this feature was introduced and Lightroom is still having the same issues with it that it was when this feature launched.


      Initially I thought I'd stick it out and wait to see if any Lightroom updates fixed it, but still no luck. I've been through all the troubleshooting steps on the help pages and it seems is perfectly compatible along with having enough RAM etc. but almost everytime ! I switch to another application while using Lightroom and the GPU is enabled, it hangs. It doesn't fully crash but I cannot get back in and have to force quit.


      Is anyone else still having this issue? Is this feature still classed as experimental? I couldn't find anywhere that said it is if so.


      I wondered if anyone can offer any tips or point out anything I may be missing. This feature is fantastic when it works but it's just frustrating to have the app hang every time I switch out, so most of the time I leave it turned off.
