Time to upgrade my Windows desktop. My old system is having great trouble handling 4K editing.

My current system is 5 years old.

Below is what I am thinking of specifying :

Cases Corsair Obsidian 750D High Air Flow Black Full Tower Case 1

Power Supply Silverstone Strider Gold Series ST85F-GS 850W Modular 1

      Processors Intel Core i7 6950X 10-Core 3.0GHz 1

Cooling Products Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler 1

      Motherboards Asus X99-A II 1

      Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) 2400Mhz C14 Dual Channel Kit [CMK16GX4M2A2400C14) 4

Video Cards Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Founders Edition 1

      Hard Drives Samsung 950 Pro V-NAND M.2 256GB SSD 1

      Optical Drives 16x Blu-ray Disc Rewriter 1

Network Adaptors Integrated Gigabit Ethernet 1

Soundcards Integrated High Definition Audio 7.1 Channels 1

Operating Systems Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 32/64-bit USB Retail Packaging

      Advice would be appreciated.

some things you may want to change:

corsair rmx or rmi, or evga g2 power supply. if you want higher quality, 1k watt or higher, evga p2, t2 or corsair ax, axi

D15S noctua cooler (only one fan, still good for medium to low overclock. can add second if needed)

at least 32gb (4x8gb) of memory, but you may want to go with 64gb (4x16gb). memory should be closer to ddr4-3000

dual or triple fan custom design gtx 1070's will be quieter and many are better built than the basic founders edition.
