    computer DVD drive not detected

Old computer: windows 7 worked fine with Premiere 10.  New computer (Windows 10) doesn't work well with Premiere 10 so I upgraded to Premiere 14.  When I first tried to use Premiere 14, it recognized my computer DVD drive and all the files.   Then I accepted a Windows update and now premiere no longer recognizes my computer's DVD drive.  I did a system restore but that didn't help.   I feel awful that our little church has spent all this money for my computer (I do all the computer work and finances for the church).  I am really a dummy at this stuff,  but if I can't get Premiere 14 to recognize the DVD drive and can't do anything.  The message I get is "no supportive device has been detected".  Thanks for helping me.
