After doing a fresh install of my mac OSX, I am unable to open any of Character Animator files. I am met with an internal code error. However when I boot from my backup drive, the character animator installed there opens the files perfectly fine.
All the Character Animator files are on an external hard drive (separate from the two mentioned above)
I really would like to be able to open these files and work on them on the fresh install as this is an SSD, and also because I would not like to have to restart my computer and boot from a different drive each time I need to work in Character Animator.
Please could you help me with this?
What error message / code are you getting?
Are you running El Capitan 10.11.6?
Is the external drive USB connected or something else?
If you delete the CH Data > temp.noindex folder (temp folder not needed) does that help at all?
Thank you for your reply
As I attempted to delete the temp folder as you suggested, I realised what the problem was.
Turns out that the problem was unrelated to Character Animator and I needed to download a compatibility driver to allow my NTFS hard drive to function properly on my fresh install of the mac OSX it has opened it fine now!
Glad to hear you figured it out!
