I got a new computer and (the IT person) copied all the fonts over to my new computer. I'm using Minion Pro in my ID doc, and it works fine. No missing font. I'm using Word and Excel to create charts and graphs, then save as a PDF and place into the ID doc. The Word and Excel files (also Minion Pro font) that I've created since I got my new computer come up with the error "missing font" when placed into my ID doc. I know the font is there.
I've gone through my computer and deleted all minion pro fonts, then reinstalled them from adobe typekit, but this did not solve the issue. Minion Pro shows up in both Adobe and Microsoft products, and the only time it appears to not work is when the PDF is inserted into the ID doc.
What OS do you use?
How was the PDF created? Was it done with the Adobe PDF Maker (Save as Adobe PDF) which is installed with Acrobat and is the only serious way to create PDFs from MS Office?
Or did you use the inbuilt Save As PDF which comes from Microsoft Office itself? This would be the expected normal behavior as the PDF creation from MS is erratic.
