    Stock illustrations and logos

I'm new to this world and starting up a business. I'm confused about the rules surrounding logo use and what not. After reading the FAQ, one item mentions the stock illustration can, "Adobe Stock assets can be used in any creative project, including print ads, brochures, presentations, posters, book covers, commercials, websites" while further down it states it cannot be used as a logo because, "You need to have complete ownership of the image you use for your company logo, since logos are intended to be registered and protected to prevent other companies or organizations from using the same image. Because Adobe Stock only grants a right to use images and does not transfer the ownership, these images cannot be used in or as a logo."

How can I use it on a business card/website etc. if I can't identify it with my logo? Also, if I edit the illustration, would I be able to use it in my logo and on my site?

Thanks in advance for your clarifications!
