In project presets which is better to use NTSC AVCHD or NTSC DSLR? I have used AVCHD in the past with success of making a video presentation but now am reading to use the DSLR setting. I hesitate to switch when AVCHD has worked for me. Is AVCHD related only to camcorders and DSLR to cameras? Thanks
What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it?
The "right" project setting is the one that most closely matches your original source footage.
Also, which version of the program are you using? Since version 11, the program generally matches your video settings perfectly, based on the first clip you add to your timeline.
Thanks Steve that clears is all up for me, there is so much to know and learn that little by little with each project one learns more! I am actually using a DSLR camera so from here on out that is the setting that I will be using. Thanks again.
Typical dslr footage is mov.
But there are dslr that produce avchd or mp4.
So which dslr?
You should read your manual: get to know your camera and what you are actually shooting.
