I do some small music videos for audio spectrum on After Effects and render them with BG Renderer i have a Mac Pro that i use for my rendering and a custom build PC that i just build but it’s not using the CPU at all
Mac Pro 8-Core Xeo, 64GB RAM and AMD FirePro D700 6144MB
Mac Pro screenshot: http://prnt.sc/cj8390
PC i7-6950X,128GB DDR4 RAM, MSI GTX 970 4G Gaming and Samsung 950 Pro.
When i start to render with my PC it does not matter if i use BG renderer or Media Encoder or from AE without bg renderer the CPU usage just won’t be used more than 12% but RAM is used more than 90% most of the time.

By the way the Mac Pro sometimes uses maybe more than 85% of the CPU while rendering with BG Renderer.
I hope anybody here know’s a solution to this.
Nothing more needs to be said. This is an apples and oranges comparison. You know, a Xoon works completely different from an i7 in terms of thread handling. I'm sure you can find any number of additional posts we have written on the subject over the years if only you search the forum.
