Is it possible to get more motion in the lip syncing? Instead of just going from 'ah' shape to 'f' to 'L', etc, can I add a few frames to each shape to create more fluidity?
Yes - so let's say you want the W-Oo sound to grow big/small - you would need to make a group called W-Oo inside your Mouth group with all the animation frames you want, then add the cycle layers behavior to it inside CH.
I've found it looks best if you focus the sound to appear quickly and then the animation to be more about the mouth returning to a rest phase - otherwise you get a delayed look. I think I'll cover this in a future tips video - thanks for the idea!
Also, when applying Cycle Layers for mouth shape animations, you usually want to change these parameters:
Advance Every = 1
Hold on Last Layer = checked
On Trigger End = Stop Immediately
