I searched but......
I have created a Parent folder with 284 images
42 of these are of the night sky so I created a child folder and moved the images expecting them to be removed from the parent and only displayed in the child folder. Clearly I am not Adobe-fied.
I don't want to create a new parent folder but i do want to remove the images from the existing parent
Please could someone straighten me out
It sounds like you have turned on the option of Show Photos in Subfolders. You probably want to turn it off. Or better yet, don't use folders to organize, use keywords and other metadata.
Thanks; and yes this is useful
HOWEVER, when I applied this to my folder exactly as advised in the clip, there was no change. - it didnt work.
I applied the same technique to other folders which had sub folders and it worked fine.
What I did originally.
I had created my folder and imported 242 images
I right clicked on that folder which said create new folder within xyz (that folder)
I named the new folder, then from the original, i highlighted all the images I wanted to move and dragged them to the the new folder.
Thats how it remains.
I suspect I didnt stroke the mac in the right way and it has thrown a hissy fit!
