APK file cannot be published in Google Play because a debuggable mode is set up

I tried to upload an APK file which was generated from here > https://build.phonegap.com/apps to Google Play, but an error message appeared: "Upload failed You uploaded a debuggable APK. For security reasons you need to disable debugging before it can be published in Google Play. Learn more about debuggable APKs. You uploaded an APK that was signed in debug mode. You need to sign your APK in release mode. Learn more about signing.".

I disabled a debugging mode in https://build.phonegap.com/apps > Settings, saved and rebuilt an app but the same issue still persists.

Could you, please, help me to solve this issue?

      Additional information:

an app was generated from HTML source files which was exported with InDesign by using a plugin "In5" (Ajar).

      Thank you in advance.
