I bumped into a problem while trying to do some organizing on my photos...
Is it possible to create a Smart Collection with "Date is" + "In the range" and then use day/month only and exclude the year?
Or just a simple "Date is" + "specific date minus year".
What I'm trying to do, is to create a smart album that has photos of all my children on/around their birthdays. The eldest is 14 and I have four kids, so adding all the dates manually and keeping them up to date year-to-year is - while certainly doable - a bit of a pain the the bottom.
Is there a way to achieve this with Lightroom?
The only way to create a smart collection for this is to manually add every year to the smart collection criteria.
A simpler way is to use the AnyFilter plug-in from John R. Ellis.
While that initially seemed like a perfect solution, unfortunately that can't be used.
The available selections under "by date" in the AnyFilter are
"year", "year/month", "year/month/day". There is no "month/day" option available.
EDIT: ooh, found the other section. Yes I can use this, probably.
