I had got thee following error a week ago that made Android build fail (see: Android "No -tsa or -tsacert is provided" ):
No -tsa or -tsacert is provided and this jar is not timestamped. Without a timestamp, users may not be able to validate this jar after the signer certificate's expiration date (2044-02-09) or after any future revocation date.
Finished application signing
It does not appear anymore and the app builds without error (app_id=1039892) since then...
But since then the problem is that I'm unable to install it on any device if it is release signed !! (unsigned/debug app will install fine !)
It was working just fine before with the exact same config.xml for like 2 months.
As I'm using the CrossWalk project I removed it, fearing it would have to do something with this... and still it won't install anywhere !!!
Any Help would really be appreciated here thanks.
It looks like you're not setting your android-versionCode in your app. If you attempt to overwrite an application without incrementing the android-versionCode, it will fail. Either add an android-versionCode, or uninstall the existing version prior to installing.
Thank you Ryan, indeed setting the Android versionCode does the trick.
I'm somehow surprised as it's been more then 3 years, that I've been building this app on pgb and I've never had to set the versionCode.
Still it's great to see it work again so I will increment the versionCode from now on ;-)
