When using Lightroom Mobile and looking at pictures which I imported on Lightroom Desktop, the mobile app only downloads a smart preview (as it is supposed to).
But when I look at pictures which I took with the built-in Lightroom Mobile camera (iPhone 7, DNG format) and then synced to Lightroom Desktop, the app always downloads the Original again instead of a smart preview, even after clearing the cache in the app.
Is there a way to change this behaviour so the app always downloads a smart preview instead of the Original?
In the LRmobile preferences, you can deselect the option to "Load Full Resolution", that should fix things (though you'd probably have to clear the cache after the image has been uploaded to the Adobe Servers). Note, though, that the full resolution copy of the original file captured on the iDevice will always be uploaded to the Adobe Servers, and from there down to Lightroom on the Desktop.
Is this the same for the Android version?
I have looked through previous threads and can see that apparently the Android version now supports full res exports. I am trying to download a photo to my gallery without it being reduced to the 2048px resolution.
Any help would be appreciated!
