    My LR catalog won't open since the most recent update


      Since the most recent Creative Cloud update, I can no longer open my LR catalog.  I have a PC running Windows 10.

      When I click on LR, a box pops up that says "The catalog could not be opened due to an unexpected error."  I have then a choice to open another catalog or to create a new. 

      I tried several thing:

      - I selected "create new" thinking I could perhaps create a new catalog and then import the old.  LR refused to open the new catalog.

      - I then tried "open another catalog".  I unzipped my latest backup to a new folder and tried to open it.  I got the same error.


      I'm at a loss as to what to do.
