    Lightroom 5 64-bit error on Import

      I receive the following message from Windows (10, 64-bit) when attempting to Import "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.  This is a new error for me.  Windows 10 completed an update on the boot cycle just prior to this error occurring.


      I have attempted the following:

      Import into a different catalog.

      Optimizing catalogs and reattempting import.

      Renaming of LR preferences file "Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs" with subsequent creation of a new catalog.


      A review of the Windows Event Logs shows an error each time I attempt to Import.  Here are the details of one of them:
