All adjustments require re-encoding of the clip and your video is already heavily compressed, so any tweaks bring out existing shortcomings in the quality even more. You are expecting the impossible and there is per se nothing wrong with how this works.
What do you suggest as an alternative....need to edit video highlights/shadows on an ipad pro WITHOUT downgrading the video quality so much? Which product (adobe) would you suggest?
Hi, I just received 4 emails all saying this question had been rejected by the Moderator...I don't understand why sorry. I thought asking what alternative adobe product would provide what I am needing was a reasonable question to ask.

What Mylenium says is true for all video editing software... when you edit a highly compressed video, you WILL have a quality loss
You also posted in the generic Cloud forum, instead of the Premiere Clip forum, so I'm sure a Mod will move this
Thanks john, I am thinking of signing up for £45 monthly access to all products, hence my question, which product would you advise would not degrade the quality. However, as you say, because I have a small number of "points' maybe I am not entitled to ask questions.
i started an online chat, with pre-sales, but it was disconnected (I am on super fast broadband) so i don't think the problem was my end.
