Lightroom is importing new photos to a folder above the master folder

    charlienav

Im trying to import new pictures in my HD and in the import dialog they are shown to be imported into the right folder under the master folder as they should be, however, after it's done importing, the pictures now appear in a new folder above the master one and the strange thing is that the actual files are in the right folder.

If I try to move them inside Lightroom to the folder where they should be, I get an error message that the file already exist in the destination folder and it's impossible to move them.

I have no idea what's going on, my Lightroom version is up to date and i'm on Mac.

I found a partial solution, instead of choosing the master folder in the import dialog, i choose a sub folder (2016) then it imports the photos in this route:

      Master folder - 2016 - 2016 - 04

Then I can move them to Master folder-2016-04

But this not how it should be.

Any help on this would be highly appreciated.
