Slideshow won't start - video card not supported (LR 6.7)

Whenever I'm trying to start a slideshow in LR 6.7 running on my (Windows 10) laptop by pressing Ctrl-Enter, I get the following error:

I searched the forums, and there are a few reports of a similar error, but they all have been closed as that bug was reportedly fixed in LR 6.5. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing it on the latest 6.7 version.

I found the GPU troubleshooting FAQ, and my graphics card (Intel HD 3000) is listed as "unsupported" there. The FAQ appears to imply though that one should be able to work around the problem by disabling GPU support. I tried doing that by unchecking the "Use Graphics Processor" tick box in Edit -> Preferences -> Performance, but that did not help - still getting the error. Windows claim that the graphics driver version I have installed is the most recent one and it is unable to find any updates.

I have not experienced this problem with LR 5 on the same machine (Lenovo X220 laptop).

For reference, here's what "System Info" in LR says:
