I have a Canon T5 with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, I recently took some pictures that I want to edit but I keep getting the usual "Photoshop cannot open this file", even if I have the latest version of Camera Raw installed. I decided to use the Adobe DNG converter since I thought my files being .CR2 was the problem but when I try to convert them I get a message saying "The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files"... Now I'm left with hundreds of pictures that I can't edit.
The latest version of Camera Raw that will work with Photoshop CS6 is version 9.1.1. That version as well as several previous versions do support your camera. If you have installed 9.1.1 then you should have no problem with your raw files. As far as the DNG converter is concerned, you choose the folder in the DNG converter, but you do not open the folder. The DNG converter works on the FOLDER level.
