Hi there guys,
Working with Premiere Pro CC and After effects CS6.
When importing my sony FS7 .MXF file into Premiere it comes out how it should and looks great with a LUT applied.
I have the same clip imported into After Effects and it's more contrasty and colours have been affected. Apply the same LUT reveals very different effects which isn't correctable using contrast and brightness.
Been trying to find a work around, I was thinking that the CS6/CC might handle files differently but the clip imported into after effects looks plain ugly and should still look okay with the simple LUT applied.
Any help/experience would be appreciated.
What happens if you open it in After Effects CC? (Also, which, exact version of CC are you using?)
Unfortunately I don't use AE CC, and it's Premiere Pro CC 2015.3
Come to a bit of a work around by using a different colour workspace SDTV DISPLAY REC.601/625 (no idea what else it is doing to the footage but it gives the closest 'looking' result to Premiere Pro and the correct gamma. What has seemed to happen is that upon importing the footage it's changed the gamma levels/white & black levels probably I'm guessing from 0-255 to 16-235.
This is just a guess but it seems to have an affect.
