Some shots will not track. Some codecs (video formats) are much more difficult to track than others. Your system needs to comply with the minimum system requirements and the software must be up to date. Before we can help you we need workflow details, a description of the shot and the details of the footage like frame rate, compression, size, and AE version number down to the last decimal point. Camera tracker works just fine for me and for most folks I know so without details we are not going to be of much help.
Hi Rick thanks for the speedy response! My computer meets all the system requirements (my system, AMD 6 core CPU, 8 gigs of ram, and a 2 gig GPU) I am using AE CC 2015.3 . The videos i have been trying to 3D track are all 30fps in 4K and 1080p(not together of course). i have tried using different formats as well such as M2Ts and mp4 mkv still no luck.
My computer meets all the system requirements (my system, AMD 6 core CPU,
AMD processors are not listed in the system requirements page for AE, so, no, your machine does not meet the system requirements for After Effects version 13.8.
Try using the CC 2014 release of AE (which does support AMD processors) and see how it behaves with your footage. How to download older versions explained here.

I got the same message. does the Analysis server connect to the internet, the only reason i ask is because every time me and the Adobe tech try to use the screen.share.adobe thing we never have success(i am using my home wifi). could there be a possible connection between the to?
There could be a firewall issue or something like that.
Also, you should update your version of CC 2014. The latest version is 13.2.x
However, if this issue gets solved, you can probably go back to CC 2015.3 as it seems to be working the same on your AMD chip.
Even with the firewall turned off it still doesn't work. I am debating to bring it to my local computer shop and see if they could possibly trouble shoot it. if they do i will be sure to post it!
Hi Szalam i figured it out!!! for some reason it only works when i go to animation the select track camera there.
