I'm sorry, but i don't see how any of the links (click on blue "Photoshop Lightroom" above) apply to the question I asked?
Lightroom CC can only sync collections from one Catalog to the Cloud. So if you have collections from your desktop synced to the Cloud and you attempt to sync the Laptop Catalog to the Cloud you should get a warning that if you proceed the photos synced from the desktop will be deleted from ythe Cloud.
Syncing collections in the Cloud allows you to sync from the Desktop to your mobile devices i.e iPhone, Smartphone, iPad, tablet. You cannot sync from computer (desktop) to computer (laptop).
Yes, I get all that. Just don't know how to go about making it work.
Where I am at right now:
- I've managed to upload a sample image from my laptop and placed in a new collection "editing Que" To do this, Lightroom opened a web page for me to drag and drop to, which I did.
- My expectation was for that collection to appear in my Desktop LR. It did not. Sync to mobile is started (though I am not sure my laptop is considered "mobile")
So, clearly, that's not the way it works. How does it work? A helpful link is a fine answer -. I don't expect a lengthy tutorial from scratch here.
PS: when I click on Sync ti Mobile using my laptop LR I still get the same catalog error message even though I have used the LR dialogs to delete it several times.
