One possibility: Restore your InDesign preferences. Here's how:
If saving and closing fixes the problem, that would most likely work.
If it's really there, it could be on a different layer. Check the Layers panel.
We'll try preferences, although another user reported this did not fix in their post.
It's definitely not on another layer. If we close and reopen InDesign the old information we typed over is gone from the display. Really odd.
We did save the file as IDML and then open/re-save as InDesign and the phenomenon still intermittently occurs. We are not able (yet) to produce it in new documents, so it may be document specific. Although it almost seems like the preview or screen isn't refreshing to show the updated content. This isn't occurring with any other applications.
Will keep the forum posted.
Yeah, there's another thread with a similar problem, and I'm beginning to think this is yet one more new bug.
Are you working with the GPU feature in InDesign CC 2015.4? It sounds like it could be a GPU display issue. If so, you could switch to your CPU. View > Preview in CPU.
Hey Steve, On that particular Mac machine GPU is not available. Preferences indicate the video card and monitor combo doesn't qualify for GPU display option so it must be running preview in CPU. Never had this issue before.
