My project that I am working on is almost finished, the one thing I need to add is subtitles. My project is an hour twenty minutes long and I need to add subtitles to the dialogue. My question is how do i go about doing this? I am using Premiere Elements 14. I want to put my project on a dvd with the option to switch subtitles on and off. Is Premiere Elements 14 capable of this?
Any help or information woud be greatly appreciated.
You do not have the option to turn subtitles on and off on DVDs produced by Premiere Elements. For that you'll need a dedicated DVD authoring program like DVD Architect.
You can however add permanent subtitles just by adding text to your video using the Titles & Text options.
Thank you for the reply Steve, would you recommend DVD architect or is there any other options?
There are a number of options. Among consumer programs, CyberLink PowerDirector can do it. I'm sure there are others.
