Have you used Mocha AE before? Does the frame rate of the comp match the frame rate of the footage? Have you gone through any of the basic Mocha training? The only think I know of that can foul up in and out points of a clip that you Track In Mocha is improper technique or fouled up frame rates.
its not my first time but i am a complete beginner
the frame rate does match, in fact i think mocha automatically sets it to be the same frame rate as the clip in AAE when i open it up
ive been watching some mocha videos, but again im total beginner
ive tried opening it up when its selected as composite and as a layer and both fails to bring me to the right frame
Double check the frame rate of the footage using the info panel at the top of the Project Panel and double check the comp. Once you open in Mocha zoom to the in and out points of the footage in Mocha by clicking the squares icon here:
Check the image on the first frame and compare it with the first frame in AE. If they are not the same then we need complete details on your system and AE / Mocha versions down to the last decimal point.
it ended up being the frame rate, the clip i got was first pulled from premiere at 29.97 and when pulled to AAE it was at 23.976...mocha pulled it as 23.976.....so i thought the frame was right cause i saw that the 23.976 from mocha and AAE matched but the problem was when i went from premiere to aae
