    InDesign CS5.5, Photoshop CS5.1 and Illustrator CS5.1 crash upon startup

      Two days ago my apps were working but my computer would periodically lock up while using the internet and I would have to do a force shut down with the button on the back of the computer.

       

      I suspect that each time it locked up, one or the other of my apps was open and now I'm wondering if they are all corrupt.

       

      Each one has a crash report that states something like this - they all have a corpse - does that mean they are all dead now??????

      I have been reading the forum since last night...

       

      I tried deleting preferences with the command keys.

      I tried looking for the plist to no avail so I could delete manually.

      In my system preferences the hide/show menu bar is unchecked.

      I tried renaming the CS55ServiceManager dir to CS5ServiceManager.bak  but mine was actually called CS5.5ServiceManager - and I had a CS4ServiceManager so wondering if I should have changed that one too.

       

      I was running ElCapitan 10.11.2 or something and just upgraded after they were all crashing thinking that would help, so now I have ElCapitan 10.11.6

       

      I saw some recommendations about installing Java but not sure if I should do that now.... Can you give me another clue please??
