It seems you do not have appropriate permission on that location for Lightroom to create any file.
Please provide Read and Write permission to that location.
Let me know if this helps.
Check the permissions on the ROOT of the NAS so your username has write access.
Thanks for the response.
The permissions were listed in the original post and are :
The folder I'm trying to create the files in is called "Berwick 2016".
It has read and write permissions granted for user, group and other so I'm not sure where the issue lies.
As "Just Shoot Me" suggests in their post, i'll check the permissions higher up the tree
Hi "Just Shoot Me".
Thanks for your reply.
The permissions at the root of this mount point are shown below (it's the "Photography" directory) :
I have read and write permissions for my account (Adamyoung) but nothing else does.
Interestingly when I try to chmod the directory to open up the access to all accounts (chmod 777) it doesn't seem to work.
It's coming from a NAS drive so I think i'll need to look at the management software for the NAS drive and see if I can set it there.
All of the folders within "Photography" have RW permissions set for everyone but I'll try to address these too.
Yes that was going to be my next suggestion. The Management software for the drive itself. That is where you need to set access permissions for a Networked Attached Storage device.
