Sierra is not supported platform for CS6. Even if this problem gets fixed somehow, there might be more issue while working in CS6 with Sierra.
Please update to our latest CC subscription or downgrade your Mac to 10.10 OSX.
CS6 is no longer supported, and won't get updated to work on Sierra. If it isn't working, you might consider upgrading to CC or rolling back to El Capitain: http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac-software/how-downgrade-from-macos-sierra-el-capitan-r emove-macos-sierra-3581872/
CS6 is not supported under El Capitan, either.
I know, Bob. But it was working for the OP prior to the upgrade, so it just might work again.
What are the odds it will ever get fixed? I know that's probably an impossible question to answer, but it would help me decide whether or not to downgrade back or not.
CS6 is End of Life, which means that 4 year old version will receive NO further updates
To use an old program, you need to use an old operating system
