If you are at a company where multiple developers and testers are collaborating on a phone gap build hosted development project, what is the best way to manage the owner account and collaborator accounts so that developers can deploy testable apps for QA (AKA unlock that darn Android key)?
When I configured our environment, I created the phone gap project under my company account, so I am the owner. This means I must get in and unlock a key every time a new build is needed for Android (for iOS I only have to get in periodically). This is very inconvenient.
I feel like I am missing something obvious here, but I cannot seem to find an article or an explanation about how this should work or how others are using it in a team setup as it relates to those Android signing keys.
In order to get a debug apk (for test purposes) you don't need to sign your app. PGB will add a default debug key for you.
A signing key (unlocked) is only required for the release build.
Thank you! I had no idea. That worked great.
