Sorry, but throwing around generics is not going to resolve any of your issues. You have to provide exact system and version info, details about your files, project settings and so on.
Adobe Premiere Pro CC
Build 10.4.0 (30)
After Effects CC
All working on a MacBook Pro 2,66GHZ i7, 8 GB DDR3 with OSX 10.9.5
All worked well until the updates, I was hoping a new update would solve the issue but right now those 2 are the latest versions available.
You might need to check your network/firewall/antivirus/antimalware stuff.
I am having the same issue with the latest 2017 release of Premiere (2017 Premiere 11.0.0, Tang). All previous versions worked without issue on import.
It seems that the new release cannot import m4a (MPEG 4) files. Has anyone resolved this issue?
The hardware info is irrelevant (as this is most certainly a software issue), however to placate folks who seem to have issues, machine is Dell 7910 Workstation, 128GB DR4 mem, dual NVidia Quadro 6000's with 24GB each, dual quad Intel I7 processors.
Adobe encourages updating to latest, but perhaps it would be best if they QA the products first.
Any resolution would be appreciated. Thank you.
It's more likely a codec issue than anything.
Can you import the file into an older version of Premiere or After Effects?
