    GoPro lens profiles missing

    tkazec Level 1

Several GoPro lenses are listed here: Supported lenses But I cannot find any of them in Develop > Lens Corrections > Lens Profile.

      Further info:

      - Running latest Lightroom CC on macOS Sierra.

      - The files don't even appear in the app's package content.

      - Tried reinstalling Lightroom, Photoshop, Camera Raw, and DNG Converter.

      - All other lens profiles that I know of are loaded correctly, and can be applied to any photo.

      What can I do?

          Hi tkazec,

What is your current File type? All the profiles mentioned in the list are there in the Lens Correction panel.

          Using CC 2015.7 version.

Hi Akash, that's what I would expect. But even after reinstalling Lightroom, they don't show up on any RAW file type, nor do they show up in the app's package contents:

What is the version number of Lightroom that you have? Go to Help->System Info and report the version of Lightroom shown there. I do not accept words like "latest" or "up-to-date", sometimes the updater program just doesn't update, sometimes people are just wrong.

Checked my designer colleague's MacBook Pro today, and confirmed it is missing the same profiles.

I've just updated LR and PS, and am also  missing the GoPro lens profiles

The list of cameras you show in your screen shot above is the menu of cameras for which there are lens correction profiles for their Raw image files (and is displayed when a Raw file is loaded). The GoPro models and their correction profiles appear on the menu which is displayed when a jpg or other rendered RGB image is loaded (the screen shot posted by Akash). Apparently, the GoPro does not output Raw photo files.

To build on elie_di's reply, the new Hero5 does shoot in a raw format (.gpr files).  But Adobe hasn't yet released lens profiles for the Hero5, either raw or JPEG: Supported lenses

Adobe releases a new version of LR CC 2015 / 6 every 52 days on average. So we might see 2015.8 / 6.8 middle of November, and since the Hero is a very popular line of cameras, we might see lens support for the Hero5 in that release.
