[Shape Layers] Convert Path Operations to Keyframes

      Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to access modified path information of a shape layer after operations like wiggle path or zig zag are calculated.

Pretty much like a "Convert Expression to keyframes" which reads the calculated values of a property and output the result of that on keyframes, I'd like to be able to take a path, apply operations on it and output the result of that as a new raw path keyframe.

I came up with this question when i noticed that the Bodymovin extension failed to export animations that used path operations (the extension ignored them entirely).

I see that feature as being useful in other cases as well.

If anybody have any idea how to work around this, let me know.

      Thanks

      Felipe

maybe this could help: Ae's path operators are mostly based on Illustrator distort and transform effects, and you can import layers as already distorted with effects from Ai to Ae and convert to shape or you just copy paste the path from Ai to Ae after applying the effects (you don't have to expand appearance)

for example take a straight line in Ai, apply zig zag effect, paste in Ae.
