Error in opening epub file

Hi Experts,

Recently I bought an ePUB file for a certification exam, one of the compatible software to open and read this file is ADE. Unfortunately I'm unable to open this file on my laptop (Win 7 SP1) and while opening system throws error "Unable to open "filename", Error encountered in item C:\users\......). Surprisingly same file I could successfully open on my Android mobile with ADE. I would request your help here for guidance to resolve the issue.
