I was trying to understand the difference between Hiding layers and Shying them.
Shying is Hiding. what do you mean by "Hiding"?
a method of "group hiding"
you can shy/hide one layer or many. I don't know what you mean by "group hiding"
Shying = Hides the layer (with respect to the master shy switch)
more about layers switches here:
I don't think "hiding" is part of the AE lexicon. Can you please describe what you mean by it?
Ah ha. Eyeball means the layer is visible in the composition window and it will be rendered. Turning it off means the layer wont be visible and won't render. Shy means the layer won't be visible in the timeline window. The eyeball could still be on for this layer. You see, shy is a way for managing your timeline so it won't clutter. That's it.
Thank. You. Thank. You. So. Very. Much. NOW I understand. And thank you again!!!!!!!
