1. Version of Adobe Reader you are using form Help -> Generate System Report
2. Check if this is a file specific error. If yes, please share the file with us.
3. A screenshot of the error message you are observing.

I am getting similar.....I have paid for a subscription, am logged in yet every single pdf I choose to convert to excel, it keeps now saying "An error occurred while trying to connect to the service". I want a solution or my money back, as it's the only reason I subscribed!!! I am using Adobe Reade XI version 11.0.10
My experiences is that the interface to ExportPDF that is built into Reader is not very reliable. I have much better luck using the web service directly. Just upload your PDF file, wait until it is converted and then download the resulting Word or Excel document.
