As the manager of several copywriters my team writes headlines for an international audience. At present we write headlines in English (adhering to a rigid character count), but we want to be able to write longer, better headlines.
So to test these headlines we send the English to a designer, they will stop their work and plug our headlines into the Indesign templates and give us feedback. This is slow and inefficient.
Whilst i'd be happy for my team to use InDesign, understandably the company is less than keen to invest in a full copy of Indesign for people who will only use it to far less than its full potential.
So does anyone have a solution or a suggestion?

You can't afford an InDesign subscription? You're a business, that is a cost of business.
If your current workflow is that slow and inefficient, it would pay for itself immediately.
Even a $5.00/month InCopy subscription would help here.
I think InCopy would be an inexpensive, sensible solution.
