I am not totally sure here but from my memories those are not needed for InDesign. What kind of events do you want to monitor and did you notive any issues for registering those events within InDesign without HostAdapter plugins ?
OK Thanks. I want to use Art selection changed event of indesign. I have used PlugPlugLibrarry and able to capture that event easily. But while doing same in illustrator is quite easy and simple just register event as follows AIEventAdapter.getInstance().addEventListener(AIEvent.ART_SELECTION_CHANGED, onArtSelectionHandler); So I thought it may be hostadapetr also exist for Indesign as well. Thanks dear..
I don't think there is an "Art Selection Changed" event within InDesign. You actually have two events related to selections in InDesign.
Which occurs every time something changed in the selection object. It may be selecting a new element, deselect something or even when you switch from documents view or close the latest active document.
This one is raised every time a property of a selection changes. Resizing an item in InDesign will raise this event many times if you drag a handle to resize an item. On the contrary resizing an item by entering a new value in the transform field will raise it once only.
To be brief, every app has it own class of events and you can't expect to just reuse a specific app event to another one.
Yes you are right. I know about these events. I just want is there any simple way to use these events. Thanks Loic
