We are purchasing new iMacs and I've been asked to set up the designers with a user account. In the past, I've only set up an administrator account and they have worked from that. So far I've set up six new iMacs over the past month and they are all having varying issues with InDesign, some are running slow (frequent spinning ball), some crashing and some are having both issues. The older iMacs, which I also set up, are running fine. All are running the latest versions of CC apps.
The new iMacs are 3.2 GHz i7 with 16GB of ram, half are running El Capitan and half Sierra. When setting them up, I'm installing everything under the admin account and then creating the user account.
