If this has been asked and answered before, please point me in the right direction, but I didn't see it when I searched.
I'm creating a map with multiple overlays.
I want to have a key on the side where users can click a button and an overlay appears/click the same button it disappears.
The button changes color based on if something is shown/hidden.
Overlays can be turned on/off in any combination.
I can get the overlay to show, but I can't get it to hide with the same button.
I can get the button to flicker colors but not actually change and stay that way when I click it.
I vaguely remember doing something like this years ago in CS4, but I can't seem to get it to work, and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get it to work now. Also, the internet didn't seem to be terribly helpful on this subject.
You need to know how to ask the question on the Internet. Google "show hide button indesign" and you'll find plenty.
For the button to change colors and hide+show the overlay, you will need 2 buttons.
Button 1 (green) when clicked will: 1. show map overlay, 2. hide itself, 3. show button 2
Button 2 (red) when clicked will: 1 hide map overlay, 2. hide itself, 3. show button 1
Thanks so much for the answers!
