Version of InDesign? What is the action of the buttons? What kind of output—Interactive PDF, SWF, EPUB, Publish Online?
Version of InDesign: 126.96.36.199
The action of the button: Show/Hide buttons and forms
Output: Interactive PDF
All buttons work as long as no groups have been selected. But, I could imagine that an employer would try to click on different objects, and then if they click on a group, and want to click a button after, it won't work.
I'm afraid I'm not understanding. After you've made buttons and you're viewing them in Reader/Acrobat, what does it mean to "click on a group"? PDF has no concept of a group.
Oh yeah, sorry.
So there are two "buttons":
1. The first button is the "Let's check it out!"-button, which action is to hide the second button. (and new content will appear behind)
2. The second button is a rather large button, since it is made of a group of objects. However, this button does not have a function.
When you click anywhere on the second button (which doesn't have a function), the first button doesn't work. You need to click one more time on the second button (to sort of unselect it) before the first button works.
Does it make sense now?
In Acrobat, try making the large button hidden. Does that do what you want? If not, try locked.
I am not positive I am following you, so post back.
Also, I know this is not what you are asking, but I hope you noticed the spelling error by now. If not, it's "résumé" or some people do it without the accents, but there is only one "s".
I would suggest that you once verify that your buttons and appearance of page items on button click works fine. This can easily be done using the EPUB interactive panel that allows you to view the action/animation in your indesign document before it is exported.
I hope this helps
