    Can't open CS5 file in CS5

A while back I created some files (which I was able to open and modify several times) in CS5. Now, on the same computer, with the same Indesign version, I'm suddenly unable to open them again. I get that familiar "update plug-ins" warning that people are saying actually means "document was created by a newer version of Indesign"... only that's obviously not the case here.

Anybody know if there's anything at all I can do to fix this, beside getting a CC subscription?

      OS: Yosemite (10.10.3)

Indesign version: CS5 7.0.4 (CS5 installed from disc, then updated to 7.0.4 via manual download, AFTER encountering the problem above)

Those files were more than likely created with a later version of InDesign. We’ve had many posters in the past claim that wasn’t possible but it turned out to be the case.

If you’d like to post one of the files on dropbox and provide a link here, somebody will check to see if that’s the case.
