Adobe Premiere Elements 12 seems incompatible with nVidia drivers v375.57 (2016/10/20)

      Hello,

I am using Premiere Elements 12 (12.1 to be very precise) for months now without any major issues. Last time I used it, this wednesday, everything was fine. And today, I am unable to start it. Premiere starts, loads, but crashes.

Log viewer displays an error linked to dvacore.dll (sorry, french only ...)

So I tried to do the following actions:

      • Fully reinstall all my Adobe apps. This includes a full cleanup, then installation, then update from Organizer
      • Deleted my prefs files
      • Tried running it in compability mode (Windows 7 and 8)
      • Tried running in with another local user

I am running Windows 10 x64 with 18Gb RAM, on i7 920 Quad Core. Using an SSD Sandisk Ultra II 960Gb with plenty of free space. WIndows is fully up to date, as for my drivers.

And, to my understanding, this is the issue, here. I uninstalled nVidia drivers and switch back to Windows native drivers, and Premiere is working great. So most probably latest nVidia drivers introduced something new preventing Premiere from starting.

Of course impossible for me to run without nVidia drivers on a daily basis, so I am expecting some help from you

      Regards,

      Guillaume
